Motorcade of Indian President Pranab Mukherjee involved in car crash

Several cars in the motorcade of Indian president Pranab Mukherjee have been involved in an accident outside the Swedish town Uppsala.
President Mukherjee was not injured.
President Pranab Mukherjee is the first ever of any Indian head of State to visit Sweden.
During the visit the President has met the Royal family, Prime minister Stefan Löfven and the leader of the opposition, Anna Kinberg Batra.
Several cars involved
President Mukherjee was traveling in a motorcade together with the Swedish Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel when several cars were involved in a crash.
Neither the president, the Crown Princess nor her husband were injured.
The Head of information at the Swedish Royal Court, Margareta Thorgren, told Aftonbladet that the Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel were close to the accident.
– They were in the first car. It was the last four cars that crashed into each other, says Margareta Thorgren.
It is not known in which car Presidente Mukherjee was traveling in.
Nine persons were taken to hospital. None is seriously injured.
